My name is Melissa Faisst, also know as Mel! And welcome to the Modestly Mel Blog.
So quickly, here is a bit about me!
I wear a lot of “hats” in life & do “all the things” that “sound” pretty cool: I run an online Christian Ministry (Ronnie and Mel Ministries), I have a Christian Youtube Channel (Ronnie & Mel), a women’s Christian lifestyle YouTube Channel (Modestly Mel), I host a daily devotional style Christian podcast called Mornings with Mel, all while running a Wellness Business (Live Well With Mel) & Christian Clothing / Lifestyle Brand (MARKD Collective).
Oh, and did I mention I am a wife to a retired professional athlete, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a co-owner of my husbands real estate & motocross coaching businesses, and a full time dog mom? Yeah, my head is spinning too.
But more importantly than all the things I DO, I am just a girl; a girl who really loves Jesus & wants to live my life simply, beautifully, and Biblically for Him.
And THAT is what this page is all about!
Because, I don’t know about you, but I used to think that loving & serving Jesus had to look… well… “spiritual”. Going to Church, reading my Bible, praying, etc., all those things are essential to our life in God, BUT those were the only ways I thought I could “love God”. And so when I had to do all the other things God had asked my to steward, it felt as though God was taking me AWAY from loving Him.
But what if that’s not how it works? What if God actually wants to meet us in each moment of our life, no matter what we are doing? What if He want to partner with us in the way we raise our children, in the way we serve at work, in the way we steward our homes, in the way we take care of our bodies, in the way we dress, and in the way we love others? What if it’s in those normal, everyday moments that God wants to encounter us, shape us, and use us?
So lets go on a journey together, allowing God to speak to us as Christian women in the everyday and live simply, beautifully, and Biblically!
